Shipping & Returns

We ship from San Francisco or Oakland, California. Our carrier is normally USPS, and we primarily use Priority Mail for shipping prints and photographs. There is a small additional handling fee to ensure safe packaging.

You may pick up your order from our San Francisco Custom Framing shop by appointment. Custom framing services are available at a discount for orders placed through our store.

Prints and Unframed Artwork
Unframed pieces are shipped fully protected with tissue overlay sandwiched in between acid free mat board with double-wall cardboard for back-up protection, inserted into a waterproof envelope. Large sizes may be shipped in a tube which is inserted into a "shipping triangle" or another tube for added protection.

Optionally, we can ship your piece in a mat, which the artist will sign on the face, and attach the certification to the versa of the backing.  We recommend using 100% rag museum board, however we offer a range of other colors and options. Call or email for details and pricing.

Framed pieces
Framed pieces are shipped from San Francisco and are custom boxed with corner reinforcements.
PLEASE NOTE: some of our framed studio inventory pieces are large, and will require special shipping. In that event, we have left the shipping as NIL, and we will charge you separately for this.

Glass and Shipping.
Let's face it, glass breaks and that just does not work for shipping. If the piece you are purchasing has glass in the frame, we will have to replace it with acrylic prior to shipping.  We provide this at a reasonable cost as a courtesy and to ensure safe shipping.  You will have the option of standard or UV-rated acrylic.

Schedule for Custom Orders
Our edition prints are custom by the artist in the studio. Please allow up to 10 days for the custom work to be completed if the image has not been printed in advance of your order.  Allow for shipping time in addition.  Thank you for understanding.

For in-stock edition prints or pieces in our Gallery Collection, please allow 3-5 days for us to box up your order for shipment.

Custom Orders
Custom orders that have been produced cannot be canceled after production. However, if a print is damaged in shipment we will replace it at no charge. Please document the problem so we can address any such issues with our shipper. 

Exchanges and Special Circumstances
a) Damage of edition prints after receipt
If the print is damaged by you, your framer, or stolen, we will reissue the piece and strike the edition number.  A replacement print may be ordered for the cost of production services. 

Please notify us by email to if you have any problems or questions as soon as possible if there are any problems.

b) Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with a piece purchased from our Gallery Collection, you may return the piece for a credit. 
The costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.

Refunds & Returns
In special circumstances where a refund is authorized, upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid or an exchange credit as required.

The rights to a refund on return of the goods to us will not apply in the following circumstances:

a) in the event that the product has been damaged by you or through the process of return shipment.

b) to any products that we have made or customized specifically for you

Tax policy
California Sales Tax is applicable for orders delivered or picked up in California.
